Cervejando is an app intended for adults of legal drinking age. It allows users to catalog beers, register ratings, comments, photos, and experiences related to responsible beer consumption.

Information We Collect

When you use Cervejando, we may collect the following information:

• Login information provided by authentication providers, such as Google or Apple, including name, email address, and profile photo when available.
• Display name, nickname, country, or other profile information entered by the user inside the app.
• Ratings, scores, comments, favorites, and interactions made by the user with beers registered in the app.
• Beer information manually submitted by the user, such as name, style, country of origin, alcohol content, IBU, barcode, and image.
• Photos uploaded by the user, such as beer or label images, when the user chooses to create or edit a beer entry.
• Technical data required for the app to function, such as internal identifiers, authentication records, and data stored through Firebase.

How We Use Information

The information collected is used to:

• Allow user login and identification inside the app.
• Display the user's name, profile photo, ratings, and comments.
• Save and synchronize ratings, favorites, comments, and beer entries.
• Improve the beer database available to users.
• Maintain the security, integrity, and operation of the app.
• Respond to support requests, account deletion requests, or data removal requests.

User-Generated Public Content

Ratings, comments, scores, usernames, profile photos, and beer information submitted by users may be visible to other users inside the app. Do not publish personal or sensitive information in comments, photos, or beer entries.

Data Sharing

We do not sell users' personal data. We also do not share personal information with third parties for external advertising purposes.

We use third-party services required for the app to operate, including Firebase Authentication, Firebase Realtime Database, Firebase Storage, Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and public product information sources such as Open Food Facts. These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.

App Permissions

Cervejando may request permissions such as:

• Internet access, required for login, data synchronization, and beer information lookup.
• Camera access, when the user chooses to take a photo to create or edit a beer entry.
• Photo library access, when the user chooses to select an existing image.

These permissions are used only for features requested by the user.

Storage and Security

App data is stored using Firebase services, including database and image storage. We apply reasonable measures to protect information, but no electronic system is completely risk-free.

Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data through the app, when this option is available, or by contacting us using the email address provided in this policy.

After the request, we will remove or anonymize personal data associated with the account, except for information that must be retained for legal obligations, security, abuse prevention, or database integrity.

Children and Teenagers

Cervejando is intended for adults of legal drinking age. The app is not directed to children or teenagers and must not be used by minors.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When relevant changes are made, the update date on this page will be changed.
